Terms of Use
By using Provett, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English because we think that's how terms should be written.
What Provett is
Provett is a decision-support tool for construction procurement. It reads subcontractor quotes and variation claims, compares them on a like-for-like basis, identifies scope gaps and entitlement issues, and generates clarification questions.
Your responsibilities
- Verify outputs — always check Provett's analysis against the original quote documents, variation claims, and subcontract documents before making procurement or commercial decisions. AI can make mistakes.
- Authorisation to upload — you confirm that you have the right to upload the documents you submit to Provett. Don't upload documents you don't have permission to use.
- Commercial sensitivity — you acknowledge that subcontractor quotes contain commercially sensitive information. Provett processes this data to generate your Vett and does not share it with other users.
- Appropriate use — use Provett for legitimate construction procurement purposes. Don't use it to harm, mislead, or disadvantage subcontractors or suppliers.
What we provide
- Provett is provided on an “as is” basis. We work hard to make it accurate, but we do not guarantee that outputs will be error-free, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
- During the free beta period, the service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice.
- We aim for outputs to be generated within 60 seconds, but processing times may vary depending on file size, complexity, and system load.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:
- Provett is not liable for any loss, damage, or cost arising from procurement or commercial decisions made based on Provett outputs — including but not limited to scope gaps not identified, incorrect cost estimates, missed exclusions, or variation entitlement assessments.
- Provett is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid for the service (during the free beta, this is zero).
Intellectual property
- Your documents — you retain all rights to the documents you upload. Provett does not claim any ownership over your files or data.
- Vett outputs — the Vett analysis generated for you is yours to use, share, and distribute as you see fit.
- Provett's product — the Provett platform, brand, interface, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of Provett.
Data handling
See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data. The key points:
- Uploaded files are processed in memory and not stored after your Vett is generated.
- We do not sell your data or share your files with other users.
- Your uploaded files are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Under Anthropic's API data policy, your data is not used to train their models. Provett does not use your data for any purpose other than generating your Vett.
Account and access
- During the free beta, no account is required to use Provett.
- We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to anyone who misuses the service.
- When paid plans are introduced, we will provide reasonable notice and you will not be charged without your explicit consent.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Provett after changes constitutes acceptance.
